CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.
“Food producers (the local farmer) + Food Consumers (people who eat) make an annual commitment to each other ($$$)

Humble Hill Farm’s 2013 CSA is a flexible model where you simply pay each week for your share. We understand that $450 for a seasonal share is a lot to come up with at once and we are happy to run one of the most flexible CSA box shares around.

Spencer Box Pickup: We have recently added a downtown Spencer Box Share Pickup. Wednesday nights June-Oct you can pick up your box of farm fresh, local veggies in Spencer.

How much does it Cost?
Each week we deliver a $20 box to each customer who has signed up in advance on our weekly harvest list.

Pick ups are Wednesday nights at 7pm.
We need to hear from you by 10pm Tuesday if you would like us to harvest a box of farm fresh goodness with your name on it.

If you are due to be out of town that week simply take your name off our harvest list. If you have company coming, or love everything in the weekly share list and want more food on any given week you are welcome to add a share.

What is in the box each week?
Each week we select different crops for your share. We try to have a balance between the leafy and the crunchy and we tend to grow crops that most home gardeners don’t focus on. Each week we drop off a full box for you and each week you return an empty one to us. There is no need to break the box  down, we know they are a bit tricky to open and close.

Can I customize my my share?
To a point, yes. If there are certain foods that you know you cannot consume we will substitute for you. If you are positive you can’t eat certain foods, please let us know in writing when you sign up, and we will note your account.

Sign up for the CSA newsletter that goes out each Monday – and read it! Double check the list for the week and send me a reminder about your dietary restrictions each time that food appears on the weekly list . We will do our best to make sure your box contains foods you are able to consume. Can I get more than one share?
Yes! You can easily get more than one share if you go through a lot of produce each week or want to pick one up for a friend or family  member.

Is there a committment?
Right now we are forming the core group of people who would like to get weekly box shares. If you join now you can change how often you get a share at anytime. [COURTNEY THIS ISN’T CLEAR]

The Future Is Bright!
Offering CSA shares to folks in Spencer has been our plan for 14 years. We are very thankful this group is coming together. If you know you love the CSA model and want a box each week you can earn 15% credit by pre-paying for 5 weeks in advance.  For each $100 that is invested in a CSA share your get an extra 15% return, for example $100=$115.  This gives the farm extra capital to work with for the fall growing season.
